M16A2 with 4.5 inch cmmg 22lr barrel

Got the replacement anti bounce weight and autosear trip in and finally got to test it today. This is a video of my friend shooting a drum of 22 through my m16a2.

Upper has a cmmg 4.5 22lr barrel and bolt with their sear trip and anti bounce weight. Used a redimag better mag m&p15-22 mag adapter. Silencer is a spectre ii.

How do you like the CTR on the 23e?  I’ve got the clubstock on my 23ek, but the LOP is a little long for shooting offhand.  Is yours easier to use?  Any balance issues?

Very cool. I knew grease guns were used in armored vehicles through the early 90’s, but what was a BAR doing in an arms room in 1987?

SF keeps our older weapons in the arms room for the 18Bs to stay up on them as we've given them to friendly nations and guess who gets to go train them.  03A4s, M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, M1918A2s, M3A1s, an Thompson sometimes, M1911A1s, M1919s, M60s, etc.  I added a M1919A6 (minus buttstock) back to the unit arms room that I reclaimed in Iraq during 05-06', still US Property marked.  Its still there today.

M11/nine with after market upper receiver, oem bolt and .380acp barrel with home made fore grip mount.
runs well and has a nice rate of fire. i'd guess around 800rpm. i need to have
the upper engraved with 380 ACP so i don't accidently load 9mm.

Had this brought into the shop today for an inspection.  RSAF BREN Mk II in .303 made in 1942.  Just missing the buttplate and is broken down sitting in the solvent tank at the moment.  Hopefully will test fire tomorrow with some 1942 dated MkVII ammo.

Please let us know how the test-fire goes.

There has to be a story about how the gun ended up at your shop...

Had two case separations.  First case separated below the case neck, second case head separated using the old 1942 dated ammo.

Nice P7.  I used to have a electroless nickeled P7 PSP that I bought after basic training in Dec 83'.  SN: 19401  Very accurate pistol.

Both rounds KF dated 1942 MkVII ammo. Case on left was the one that separated first and then left separated and that case jammed into other neck piece. Scratches on left case was from when I removed it. What was amazing that the gun still fired after the first separation.

That's pretty f$#%^#* awesome, I had seen a couple recovered myself in Afghanistan but never in functioning capacity keep up the cool posts, you ever come across AK74 Krinkov's in use by either ANSF, ANP, or Contractors, we had one in our stable but very limited ammo availability so it rarely got used except for the range to make sure it worked, we also had a Tabuk copy of the M92 (sort of not really) which was complete shit with Aqua colored handguards in 7.62x39. Never found information on that Iraqi model but was always curious.

Got to inspect 12 ea Steyr Augs today.  They all had the semi/burst set on the trigger group.  The camo one needs a new charging handle however.

Nice!

Was it a red switch on the bottom of the hammer pack?
Because the ones I've seen switch from auto to 3-round burst.

Semi always comes from simply stopping the trigger short.

Some militaries use a 3-position safety/selector that can stop it at semi, but it isn't common on AUGs. Not sure who Steyr initially made them for.

Australians use an ALO (automatic lock out) on the trigger, which prevents the trigger from going back to auto unless disengaged. They don't have burst packs however (as far as I know).

Yes, the red switch on the bottom of the trigger pack.  Trying to figure it out to swap to auto.  Haven't hit the range yet.  Two had safetys that had 2 detents/positions and all others had a three detent/positions safety.  First time really playing the AUG trigger.

Red switch on bottom of pack should be marked 3 and F. You can only pick one there.
(If unmarked, use the rear position for Full Auto, as shown.)

Then use whichever selector position is farthest from safe.

AUG triggers take some getting used to.

Plan to later today.  There's a bar across the 3/F preventing the red lever to move easily down to the F position.

Thanks Combat Diver. That’s very interesting. Looks like the standard disconnector only engages the hammer on the left side. There is s secondary disconnector that is independent of the primary disconnector that catches the hammer after the third shot. It’s so interesting that Steyr could accomplish this with polymer.

Interesting.

Someone didn't want that ever switched off burst.

I would remove the offending restrictive section of plastic, but the other alternative would probably be to disassemble and reassemble the pack with the lever in the other position. Easier said than done, due to the strength of the springs.

If you can do it without removing the hammer pin/spring, you'd probably be alright.
