Anyone hear of this stuff? I guess it’s over run powder from a major manufacturer. Supposedly equivalent to Alliant BE-72, yet can’t find that either.

I was wondering about that myself.   It seems to be an extremely slow powder if it takes 5gr to move a 147gr bullet 930fps.

It seems the higher quantity variants sold out pretty quick, though. I'm not sure if I should jump on the deal for my first purchase into reloading...I'd imagine with that similar charge it would get a 115 or 124gr pill moving quicker? I would wanna see other load data.

It would take about 6.4gr for a 115 and 5.9gr for a 124 to make a roughly equal power factor

I estimate velocity of a 115gr to be 1188fps and a 124gr to be about 1100.   That appears to put it in the range of Power Pistol, maybe even a touch slower.

Hmm so I'd burn through the jug quicker then, given the larger amount of grains per case. Better to just grab W231 or similar then or good enough deal to try?

Scratch that I opted for an 8# jug of W231 off Brownells. With coupon codes and AJ, at the same price per round...only I get three additional #s.

If only American Reloading has followed up with my inquiry, I might have gone with the MP-205.

For anyone who cares, here's the reply I got from American Reloading...

"So they made it for Federal and they use it in their low velocity 9mm and 40 ammo.  Like sub rounds pretty much.  We posted data there with it so refer to that and build up some loads.  It falls around 42 on the burn chart."

I bet it is used in the aluminum cased ammo to lower the peak pressures
