Hmm, that's interesting.  I've never seen one on a Mk20...just the SV.  They are pretty similar, though.

...some NSW pics from a couple years ago.

That last pic is interesting. 17 with 20 stock. MK6 and it appears to be an old SD can of the smaller variant.

What I'm noticing in all of these photos is the Mk6 mount from Leupold is different on the .mil guns than mine- also from Leupold.  On the one I just got, the mounting nuts are on the left side.  On everything pictured, they are on the right, ejection port side.

You’ll want Leupold P/N 120303 for the MK17 if you’re a righty.  Approx $225.  The commercial DAGR kit comes with the mount bolts on the LH-side.

As I shoot rifles left handed I ordered the LH mount. But I noticed all the .gov guns had the RH mount and the commercial photos showed the LH mount.

Bought a used T1 last night and ordered the 34mm mount. Should be here Thursday but now I need to track down the oem low mount for the T1.

A short version of the SCAR-SD 762 (think M4200 length) does exist. It utilizes the 51T MITER Mount.

A buddy of mine has one. AAC told him very few were produced for SOCOM at their request for the 13” MK17. I’ll see if I can get a few pics.

ETA: Forgot I had this pic. Next to standard SCAR-SD for comparison.

Yeah I knew about those, but the can in the pic is neither.  Has the m42000 style grooves in rear.

Yeah, can very safely assume that's a 5.56 can, not any variant of the 7.62 SDs.

I can say for sure that this 45 mount isnt a larue. I use an offset aimpoint t1 on a larue mount on another build and decided to move it to my rifle with the mk6 and the turret covers half of it. This one seems to me of at a steeper angle then the larue.

I also tried the LaRue and found the same thing. I just ended up mounting it on top with the Aimpoint mount but damn it’s tall..

I didn't see it in the OP, but what is the name of the newer flash hiders on SCAR 17s in the wild and where can you purchase one?

Clone correct cardboard - sweet.

MGW has them mis-labeled on their web site.

The flash hider you're seeing is the "ECP" (Engineering Change Proposal).  It has been the mil-standard since about 2012 when they scrapped the AAC suppressors.  Mates to the FN suppressors and comes on the barrel kits that FN offers.

The "European" (Belgian) flash hider is the standard flash hider outside of the US market.  Every once in while a small batch makes it over here.  Stryker Enterprises and MGW had them a while back.

Any chance of FN releasing their SCAR-H suppressor to the commercial market?

I know there are plenty of options on the market, but it just looks so sick.

Having used them, I don't totally love that suppressor.  It has a tendency to make you think it was locked in place, only to go down range when you pull the trigger.  Definitely something to be left in place, once you have it on right.

I’ve heard several others report similar. That being said I would buy one and just leave it on. Can’t be any worse then my SDN6 that my SCAR has ate.
