also seemed like they had not settled on the exact loading of the new cartridge. so looks like there will be some tweaks to it. which is interesting.

Anyone have the weight of a complete, ready to fire, hybrid cased round?

[#5]
Looks like the .277 Fury specs are close to the .270 WSM but still getting 3000fps out of a 16" barrel via the 80000psi. The law of physics is what it is and recoil is going to be substantially more than what the current soldier is use to dealing with when using an M4.

Sig MCX Spear - US Army NGSW - Disassembly, Live Fire & Discussion Time mark: 9:52 From the reassembly point.... Anyone else besides me think that the recoil spring not being one unit with the op rod will be a downer? |

The US Army's new Belt fed Machine gun. The M250 is replacing the M249 ETA: I know it's not the Spear, but keeping with the tune. |

But the MG68 is genuinely a game changer and I'm glad GT asked the question about replacing the M240 as well. You have a weapon that has superior ballistics to the 7.62 of the M240 but weighs less than the 5.56 M249 and doesn't have any more recoil. Plus it has all those usability and ergonomic improvements to boot. Granted, the MG338 weighs less than even the lightened M240L. So there's that too. |

What about the Knox high-capacity ammo? Straight wall 223 with some kind of ridiculous high pressure loading, could load 40-50 rounds in a 30 round 5.56 mag, just a touch heavier. IIRC, they had to download it to prevent having the case rim torn off. Take that and combine it with Sig's hybrid case, lot more they could do with it. |

I might go half retard and buy a factory SBR w/ suppressor if they sell that configuration and it isn't full retard expensive.

LOL. Hey it could be accurate, or even cheaper. IDK why everyone is so hyped to start assumptions at way over Scar 17S prices, with a known Sig rep here no less, shaddup already or theyre gonna mark it up more if they think everyone'll pay it
This shit isnt imported its just another MCX, sheesh guys Also didnt the St John guy even generally state a rough price estimate in one of the Reeves vids, been so long now I cant recall.. feels like it |

If you search for Spear on Sig's site, you get their somewhat-funny not found page. I wonder what's in the web page hopper.

Oh snap. Could this be it?
By the way, is it totally random which Sig dealer can get a rifle fastest, or are there some go-to preferred ones to try first? My local garage office FFL guys don’t seem to be real confident in their speed of acquisition so to speak, always warning me it could take a while. Cabela’s seems too big and sloppy but not sure |

edit: oh that vid was from summer 2020. Sheesh if both Raptor & standard were on the wall which would you choose? I really think barrel kits will remain unobtainium so you could be stuck with Raptor mode indefinitely |

Being more on the commercial side can you speak for availability / distribution at dealers, is the release purely random or is it kind of like car dealerships/beer distributors with priority given to certain shops? It will be going to direct accounts, distributor accounts, large box/retail accounts, etc. |
