I have a M23 cradle and like most of them, it was rusted to shit. After some electrolysis and a lot of WD-40 and banging, I got most parts freed up except the most important part, the pintle and cradle won't budge! In the diagram below, there is the a384057 key. What is the purpose of these things? Do they need to be removed in order for the cradle to rotate?

I don't think so, I think those are there for the pin that goes through from one side to the other and keeps the pin from walking out under recoil.
Have you tried heating the side of the pocket for the pintle and then hitting the pintle with a large punch and heavy hammer? If you have a hydraulic press, you might be able to press it out. Keep putting penetrating oil on it, it's bound to give up and break loose the more you keep working on it. |

Try using a penetrating oil instead of WD40. WD40 (unless you're using their Penetrant) isn't designed to loosen/penetrate rusted parts. I've used the ones linked below and have had excellent results. It may take several applications and allowing it to soak in before it comes loose.
Liquid Wrench Kroil I've used Kroil the most during my years fixing flying machines, and it has performed great for my needs. I also use it for some cleaning of my barrels. |

Holy shit, ended up using my backhoe to work it loose. Even then it stalled at times. Amazing how stuck it was. 5 foot cheater bars weren't doing anything.
