I have been looking for a M1D barrel block, Would like to stay away from the ones Sarco sells, I have heard that they are crap and cast. I came across this one, seller says it's fully machined, not cast. He sent me 2 pictures. I don't really know what I'm looking at. What can you fine gentlemen tell me about this block?

Well, it doesn't really have any flash lines or real porous surfaces that would indicate that it could be a cast part. Then again, flash lines and rough casting surfaces can be machined off and then finished to where it looks like any other material at a glance.

However, that's just an educated shot in the dark without any history or markings to tell who might have made it.

Seller travels around to different gun shows.  Might just be the tag he had.

Took a risk, bought the block.  Upon closer inspection, it looks cast and not machined to me...
