Wasn't there in the past a firing pin that had lines cut in the ringed area in the back that were supposed to help with carbon buildup?
Could have sworn I saw pics of them back in the day but dont see it implemented was it just a gimmick?

It certainly never was Govt issue. Could've been some sort of aftermarket "special"?

Regardless, I'd bet it never worked as claimed.
