I’ve gotten several PMs and inquiries about this gun here and on Reddit about SBSing, specifically the gas settings and tuning.
I have not touched the gun from factory settings except to hack off the barrel and thread in the AK brake It came from the factory at the most wide open gas setting It will function (and kick like a mule) with Winchester 3” 2# It does not function (maybe 80% cycle??) With bulk 7.5 8 birdshot 2.75” |

I have one in the safe but haven't fired it yet. Waiting on a deal for some Pro-mag (20) rounders to take it out the woods.
The finish looks pretty darn good and I was surprised it had bolt hold open. I overpaid for mine (was like 399 + S/H and transfer) but I sold a Saiga-12 years ago and always wanted another. This is my reasonable compromise |

Thanks also for the tag. So far I’ve changed out
Carolina shooter tri rail Carolina shooter 922r grip an g2 trigger Magpul Zhukov folding stock Gun is cycling 1300 fps bird shot at the lowest gas setting. Future plans is form 1 to SBS at 14 inches possibly adding a sgm brake. Holding off for a while I accidentally bought a turbo k last week and used up my fun/gun money. |
