Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking to get into night vision

I’m looking at picking up my first night vision I found a used atn mk440 for $250.  The price is right but I have not been able to find anything about this online.  Does anyone know how these scopes are or if they are complete junk?

ATN, GEN 2, and discontinued.

3 strikes against. ATN is generally crap, their GEN 2 has never been very good to begin with, and if it's discontinued, they can't support it.

If you really want a dedicated NV scope, save up a few more pennies and get a PVS-4. You'll thank yourself later.
