With the possibility of craziness happening anytime soon, I'm moving forward with several of my gun projects.

One of them is to swap out the standard barrel on my Series 186 factory folder with a complete GB barrel with the bayonet lug/front sight.  With that said, I'm looking for a good Ruger gunsmith that can do this project WITHOUT damaging the receiver in any way.

I can't find anybody, in my area, that specializes or are knowledgeable with the Mini-14 rifles and "I" don't want to take a change on somebody "just giving it a shot" and possibly screwing it up...   I know that by adding a "GB" barrel assembly doesn't increase the accuracy OR performance...  BUT!!  Just adds to the "coolness" factor.  

Any ideals or experience(s) with good gunsmith that knows how to work on the Mini-14 rifle??

p.s. I sold my AC556 and might have a barrel complete with FH and sight if you don't have one.

If you have a Mini barrel with the flash hider and bayonet lug that would be a great find.  Most people just cut them down not realizing they are hard to find.  The guys at perfectunion have got the Mini down to a science.

I hate to hijack a thread but yea. I bought a few in case I ever damaged my AC556. They are hard to find because Ruger never sold any. They all come from decommissioned Guns.
