I have a KAC SR-15 LPR with ACOG and I'm thinking the B&T APC223 "Carbine" with 12.5" barrel is a good compliment. I have never shot a B&T APC rifle so, I'm a little cautious ordering a $3K rifle sight unseen.
How does the firing cycle and accuracy compare to my KAC rifle? I'm talking 200 yards and closer with 'normal' rounds. Is it as smooth or better/worse? With good quality M193 or SS109 type rounds, what sort of accuracy should I expect? How does the APC stock work in use deployed from a backpack or bag or carried in the hands or on a sling?
MY KAC SR-15 LPR has me spoiled but, an 18" barrel fixed stock AR-15 just isn't practical for a lot of my usage on my farm and I'm wanted more performance than a 9mm handgun on MP-5 SBR delivers. An AR-10/SR-25 or my LWRCZ Six8 is simply too heavy for non-dedicated use.
I am in East Texas and travel to Oklahoma if someone wants to do a 'range date' with their B&T APC223 and my ACOG-equipped LPR!
TIA,
Sid
