[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking at ATN PVS-14

and the only info visible on the sticker are the letters CGTI and the numbers 28162 on the ATN sticker. Is there any way to tell if this is Gen II or Gen III without pulling the tube? It also needs a eye piece. What's a good price depending on if I can figure out if it's a Gen II or Gen III?

He is saying they should pay you to take it.

The problem with ATN (well, ONE of the problems) is that you don’t know what you’re getting.

One unit might be Gen III, another might be Russian made Gen I and it’s hard to tell via their info what they’re selling.

If your looking at an ATN PVS14, my advice is to keep looking for something else.

I called ATN and gave them the numbers, and it came back as a international gen II tube. The set of numbers didn't come back at all. Thoughts? How cheap of a price would make it worth the gamble?

~~I wouldn't pay more than $400 - $500 personally~~

ETA: Forgot you mentioned it's missing parts.... I wouldn't pay over $350-$400
