I’m going to beat my normal horse about impact ratings—I would not trust a knock-off helmet to protect my noggin’ if I took a bad spill, something we may not want to think of often, but something that may be even more important with loaner gear, as that can imply someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience with NV, and/or could be pretty rusty even if they do have prior experience. Everybody seems like a friend until they’ve got $$ signs in their eyes over a personal injury suit.

ARC accessories may work with these. I field questions at least once a week about “why won’t x accessory fit my CPG/HHV/Emerson/FMA/etc. helmet.” I’ve even got a handy phrase for it: “unauthorized replica.”
