That's a shame.   There is not a single Liberty safe made that doesn't have Chinese parts on it.  

Don't they all use Chinese locks?

For the most part, the majority of the locks and other parts (dials, rings, keypads, etc) found on gun safes will be Chinese.

We had looked into building our own, wanting to be as close to 100% US made as possible.  There is a lot that goes into a gun safe, and sourcing American components was easier said that done.  Steel, welding supplies, fasteners, fillers and paint, fabrics, particle board, hinges, handles, locks, etc, etc.  Then you have the labor that's putting all of that together.

It's tough to do, especially when so many make their purchasing decision on price.
