With the LOP shorter, and comb in line with the muzzle, the perceived recoil is greatly reduced. It makes the rifle pretty fucking nice actually.

View Quote Yeah, I sent the 16" MR556 to Jayson at IGF in early 2016 and he cut the barrel to 10.4", re-profiled it to gov't profile, installed an HK416 14.5" OTB gas block and melonited the whole thing.
