Just bought an early one off the EE. When I torque down the rings screws with the Aimpoint in the rings, the rings as a unit (along with the optic) will wobble back and forth (toward the stock or muzzle) with a moderate amount of pressure. Am I doing something wrong?

The first photo has it titled towards the back of the mount, the second one is titled forward. It’s enough to significantly alter the alignment of the optic.

Sounds like you need to adjust the tensioning to fit your receiver.

Tighten the bottom ring screws all the way then tighten the top ones to snug.

Tightened them down to the proper torque, but it’s still moving.

BUT... did you first torque the bottom screws without having the top screw in place?

Only after installing the bottom screws and torqueing, do you do anything to the top screws.

After torqueing the bottom screws and before installing the top screws... does the ring rock forward and back? It should not move!

..

In that case open the link and scroll down to "Adjusting locking levers"

Can you post a video of the movement?

AND... where did you purchase the mount?

There are a lot of counterfeit LaRue products coming out of China.

Are you sure it is an authentic LaRue mount?

Unfortunately, the more I look into it, the more I think it may be a counterfeit. I got it off the EE.

M68 CCO add

The M68 CCO that I have handy has torx screws, and they go in from opposite sides

Rear bottom torx goes in from the right, front bottom torx goes in from the left

Unfortunately, Larue confirmed that it’s a counterfeit. Reaching out to the seller to see about a refund. Thanks for everyone’s help!

That is not a LT mount.  The screws and finish are dead give away.
