It’s “inertia delayed blowback”, release in May/June, per the comments on IG.

Interesting, looks like a mix of Stribog A3 inertia block AND a recoiling barrel.
Never looked into it that much when they went quiet on it years ago.

If you look closely, it appears they ditched the proprietary stock and went with a UMP/APC style rear end.  If I'm not mistaken, those are 'pistol' configurations with SBTi braces:

Very cool looking gun but $2995 MSRP??  Yikes.

Is it going to be 45 ACP only?

Will you be able to easily change calibers?  For $3k I'd like the option for 9mm & 45 ACP.  Maybe even 10mm.

I've got an Octane 45 HD that I'd originally planned on using on this gun.  I've had the suppressor for years now..

They should offer the B&T style 3-lugs on the barrels.

The first variation was perfect and I've been waiting to scoop one up. This gun barely looks like the original and doesn't grab my attention nearly as much. There are still things I like about it, delay blowback and being chambered in .45, so it's a maybe...

why do they show it off years before it is ready for prime time?
I wanted it so bad when they first showed it off, now? Ill just buy a B&T

Held the original years ago.

Dropping their awful stock is a good idea.

$2000 isn't worth complaining about for guys that are buying MP5 clones or B&T nonsense.

45acp is dumb and they won't go anywhere with it. Let's see 9mm and in customers hands.

45 is subsonic by default unless you go light or +P, so that along with the delayed unlock should make a good suppressor host.

9mm would sell the most, but the longer barrel length begs for something that could benefit from it...

10mm, 7.62x25, etc.

I would pay $2000 for one in a heartbeat just to add it to my PCC SBR collection. Especially a 9mm version that would take scorpion magazines.

ETA it looks like it would accept the UMP/B&T style stock/braces.  Thats nice

It looks great.

That said, .45 acp + taking $50-$60 UMP mags = not for me.

Now, they release the same gun in 9mm and takes Glock mags, very interested.

Assuming the current "release" model operates in the same way, does this mean you would have to use a piston to suppress this thing?

I work for a LWRC distributor.  Sounds like these are for real this time and will be shipping in the next couple of months. They will be fairly limited in production numbers.  Dealer prices is well above the $2K number guys are tossing around.  After the initial round of guys that pay ridiculous gunbroker prices to be the first guy on their block to have one my guess is that street price will be around $2400.

You can look at my B&T comment there. Short version is that I've thrice been bitten by super spezial Swiss engineering enough to remember something... Over Engineering Is Bad Engineering.

I'll keep an eye on the LWRC, they certainly have some elements correct. If they can ship a 9mm at a relatively decent price, well, that's what the MPX was supposed to be.

I hope to get my hands on one of these at the NRA show tomorrow.  I'm hoping for something good.  I'd love to have a good .45 pcc that does delayed blowback.

I got to fondle these yesterday at the NRA show.  I really like the ergo's and the balance.  Both the brace and stocked versions feel great.  Ambi controls.  Non reciprocating and reversible charging handle.  I like pretty much everything about these except the price and no MLOK.

EDIT:  Came back to add another couple of thoughts.  When I posted earlier I hadn't had my morning coffee yet and was still tired from walking the floor all day at the NRA convention.
I was going to say I was concerned about the proprietary nature of this gun especially at the price point, but then remembered I own a couple of B&T guns so that shouldn't necessarily sway me .  What might be more concerning is the potential complexity of the delayed blowback system and how well that system will hold up over time.  The barrel is coupled to the breech block so the barrel moves rearward a short distance like on most handguns.  This is explained in the TFB video above.  It is very subtle, but watch closely right at the .55-.56 second mark.  The LWRC rep places his thumb on the end of the barrel and pushes it inward (they showed me this when I visited the booth as well).  The complexity and proprietary nature of the system I'm sure goes into the price, but I'd want to see if the system holds up over time before I spent that kind of money.  And of course I'd want to know how well it actually works suppressed.

Just read your posts at that link and totally agree.  Although, I think they didn't engineer enough on the mechanism.  I would have hoped B&T would come out with some kind of delayed blowback mechanism and before anyone mentions the TP9, that was originally a Steyr design (TMP).

Straight blowback sux.

I had high hopes for the LWRC 45 when I first handled it at Shot Show when it was first debuted but also really just wanted it in 9mm.
Been waiting for years for something to rival the MP5.
I've got a full auto post sample Sig MPX - shoots too fast and suppression sux.
The CMMG Guard is good but I think it needs some tuning to surpass the MP5 which I have done and very happy with at this point....but if LWRC comes out with a delayed blowback 9mm, I'd probably get that too.

No shit.  This should take APC45 mags if anything.  Double feed mags are awesome for this sort of thing, but are still uncommon in PCCs because of lazy manufacturers, so many shooters don't even realize how crummy Glock mags are for a platform wide enough for double feed.

I've read the UMP was originally supposed to be delayed blowback, and if you look at the layout of the gun, this is basically a UMP lower with an MP5 tubular upper...which is what HK should have done all along.  Making the upper aluminum, modular, & recoil operated is a strong upgrade from the MP5, particularly since they wisely made the barrel recoil axially.  Should be very nice to shoot.
