Picked this up at the local gun show last weekend.
It had a light coat of rust that I cleaned off and that's when I saw the word ''India'' and an arrow  stamp.
My search-fu is weak so I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on the history of what I actually have.

The arrow is the 'Broad Arrow,' which marked British property (and prisoners).

Here's a pic of it on a British Commando knife.

Thanks for the reply Frank.
The British proof mark was about the only info I've found about the knife.
I did see a pic that closely resemble mine but it also had a date stamped on it.
One info that was told to me was that the Brits ordered a bunch of these at some point.
