In not suggesting Id do this again but I took my .45 Vector with the fake shroud and cut that bitch off and then cut the barrel and crowned it myself. It was extremely stressful as I had my dremel .001" away from the registered SBR plastic receiver.

We just took one apart and threaded it, Holy dog balls, that's a lot of red loctite.
