You'd have to ask KUSA what they discovered and what their proposed fix is. They haven't offered a lot of info but do acknowledge that there is a risk with some guns. There are multiple threads on it at Reddit, but I don't use it. I'm not up on the latest or what mods KUSA is making to bolts sent to them, which is exactly why I posted this message

KUSA wont say they discovered anything and they wont say a word about what the "fix" is. But if you send them your bolt they will "fix" it.
It isnt a recall its a voluntary email that you send them to get a shipping label and after a few weeks you get your modified bolt back.
There is no serial number range or specific KP9's that this may be a problem in, its all of them.
From what I have been able to tell from pictures its something to do with the firing pin.
I'm in several groups, one specifically for the KP9. It's gotten so bad that if you post asking for information or what the fix is you will get kicked from the group.
Several other members have taken a 9mm primed case and slowly let the bolt forward while pulling the trigger until the primer pops before the bolt is fully forward - until several people posted videos of this KUSA denied there were any problems with the gun and OOB dets.
That being said I have not had any problems with mine and im on the fence about sending my bolt in.
