Bought a k31 years ago, maybe from aim surplus?

Think I paid $300 at the time. Looking to fund something else. What could I expect in good condition?

The ask on them is 600-700 in western ND, eastern MT but have not seen them walking out of the gun show.  Probably due to scarcity of ammo.

600-700

If you have GP11 you are sitting on a stash of gold.

That high? Man...really going to have to think about selling

If you want it to sell , I'd be closer to the $500 mark ish depending on condition.

When I bought my K31 from AIM I was smart enough to buy 1000 rounds of GP11.

Not for sale...

$500-$600 is a more realistic number.

It'd definitely a cool rifle but there are other things I want more

I have had one for 15 years and haven't bought ammo for it even.

Cool rifle to have though.

LGS had one on the shelf last month, sold in a week for $675.

Saw a nice one locally at a gun show last weekend here in Southern WV for $750.

$650 for a basic K31. Add a bit if the blueing is in great shape, also if it has a walnut stock in good shape. “P” series are also worth more.

Subtract for mismatched parts, unusual wear, D&T’d, etc.

$500-600 Wow.
I have 23 of them. Paid $79-150 for them when they started coming in.
Should have got more ammo only have 5 cases
All but one are walnut in very good condition. Most have the plastic troop tags under the butt stock shoulder plate.

I put a St.Marie scope mount on one with a old k 4 scope at 100yrds. it would put rounds through the same hole.

I shot prvi and reload the cases with Nosler match.

I never got GP11 as it was never cheap when I bought the rifle.

I couldn't do that.  I have to shoot everything I buy.  Even the really obscure stuff.

I inherited a 8mm lebel a few years ago and had to buy ammo from liberty tree just so I could shoot it.

In the eighties I worked at a gunshop.  I was doing some cleanup and found a crate of mixed ammo, as in all f’n mixed up.  Busted loose ammo all mixed up, 8mm Lebel, Nazi marked 8x57, 7.62x54r, .M2 Ball, 6.5 Swede.    Like a tank round box half full.  Boss made the call to dumpster it all as it wasn’t boxed and saleable.

Sold it to a local gun shop for $400. He said they were probably going to sell for $550. I was good with that.

I didn't have to go through any of the hassles of selling private or shipping and gun store can make some money too

Thanks for the help

I would have dumped all of that ammo right into my fort.

I bought a post WW2 made K31 in the summer of '20 for $575 but it also came with something like 400 rounds of GP11, I forget exactly how much.  As far as GP11 I recall that Edelweiss Arms had a very limited supply for sale last May for $15 per box of 10 rounds.

There are two types of people.
People who love K31s and people who don't know what K31s are.
.
They are fantastic smooth rifles. By far my favorite foreign military surplus. Priv Partisian makes some ammo for it. I have some GP11 but that's stashed.
.
I'd say for a $700 depending on condition.

I was quoted $110 per 60 round brick and $800 for a 480 round case by the only guy who had it at the Lima show. Seemed aggravated that I asked about the price when he didn't have it marked. If I would have considered it at that price, and I DO think it's probably ballpark, I wouldn't have bought from him anyways, because he was a dick.

Saw some new production for $30/20, which is still more that I used to find it for, but it seemed reasonable for the times.

I have an all-matching P Series K31 with 98% Bluing, muzzle cap, leather sling, excellent walnut stock (no troop tag), and butt plate isn't all beat up like most. Any idea of the value?

Value I need the money now or value I'm willing to work an ad for six months to maximize value?

Keep in mind 99% of K31s are 98% all matching. And accessories dont add value.

I don't really want to sell it, I paid $250.00 for it in 2005 and was wondering what it's currently worth. Someone said the P Series are more valuable as are the rifles with nice Walnut stocks, I was curious how much.

Edited to Add: There's a bayonet that came with it too.

Walnut might bring $50 more now.  But values have pretty much meshed together.  $800 max.  Unless you find a guy looking for a specific SN range or something.  $600 would sell it right now.

In 2008 I bought a K31 off the EE with 480 rounds of GP11 for $400.00.

Ammo availability is hurting value on these I think.

They were pushing $700 for a nice (but not pristine) example before the panic. Seems 500 to 600 it more like it now

I still have 2 cases of GP11 for my $89 K31 I got from AIM back when they first became available around '98 or so. Love shooting it.
Came into a barreled action for $75 locally. Hunting parts to finish it out now.

Scored 500 pieces of Norma 7.5x55 brass for $80 at an estate sale last summer. I was giddy as hell after getting it home on the reloading bench. It is still virgin brass. I haven't loaded a single round of it yet.
Still firing my loose GP11 for now.

Really considering finding someone that will rebarrel the parts gun to .308

This seems to be the case now. Simpson Ltd. is listing a few a day at $395-750 for a basic K31 depending on condition.
