Saw this and had to have it, it has a beautiful Fit and finish. Used, but in really nice condition. I have a lot of .58 cal  ammo to go with it, but no caps. I believe they are # 10, or 11. Pretty small nipples compared to my musket nipple.
If I can’t find the caps I’ll have to look at a 209 conversion setup for it.
I read some online reviews and they all sound positive. Some used one of these for African game, so should be fine for bear or moose.

Which size caps does yours use?

All I can tell you is my 54 uses #11, but it's T/C Renegade, and it is great, but not as nice as that sweet double you have!

Yes, it is a Pedersoli Kodiak. The earlier version from what I can tell. As soon as I can find an ignition source I’ll take it to the range.  I found a nipple wrench on Amazon that says it will work on both musket and #11 nipples.
Think I’ll get one coming. Attachment Attached File

Here’s a question, I’ve seen the newer ones come with dual barrel sets. Shotgun and rifle, are the shotgun barrels available anywhere?
Or maybe direct from Pedersoli?

Is it for RB or conical?  I hope it's the latter.  Moar lead the better on big game.

Yes, it will shoot both.
You know Ive been reading a lot On the subject, and many of the black powder big game(dangerous game) hunters used a harder lead ball for more penetration. Of course this was in the 1800’s, and the use of conical bullets was just gearing up in the later half of that century.
