Is there a substitute adjusting tool for the front sight post square drive?  Wondering if there is something in my toolbox that might work and not damage the post.

For the FAL shooters here, I'm thinking there's a good cheat.

Went to the bench and instantly found that a six point 1/4 inch socket is perfect.  Just needs to be perfectly seated on a front sight post that is not too frozen in place.

I have been accused of overthinking things.

That's what I used, small socket fit just fine

The rifle in question is just better maintained than I expected.  The stuff I expected to be frozen in place came off without a hitch, including the sight post.
