Got this from a friend that says he purchased it from Brownells several years ago and said it was advertised as being Lake City.

Can anyone confirm what it is?
Thanks

It is not LC.

"86" is the year of manufacture.

"13" is the NATO code for Belgium.

Thanks guys.   Any issues putting this in a Barrett M107A1?
I would think it is good quality?

Any idea on grain weight?

1986 Production, but South African, not Belgium.  13 refers to bullet type 1, ball, 3rd model.

S African headstamps frequently confused with ComBloc stuff since they use numeric codes rather than alphabetic.  Earlier headstamps were PMP or D or A, but later ones are numeric

Primers are berdan, not boxer.

It was a common surplus ammo about 10 or so years back.  About the same time as the S African 5.56 and 7.62 BattlePacks.
