[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is RND Manufacturing and Llyod DeSantis still around?

I am trying to order from Llyod Desantis with RND Manufacturing. His website looks the same and still up and running, but no response with multiple requests.

I am looking for his RND "Windrunner" handle that he sells. To go onto my EDM Arms M96 Windrunner. Llyod did a handguard for me awhile back and the bipod to match the handguard. Very nice work.

Let me know if you have any direct knowledge of RND and if it still open. Better yet, if you have a RND Windrunner handle that you want to sell.

Have you tried contacting Vigilance Firearms? The owner is Bill Ritchie's son and still builds Windrunners.

I understand that EDM Arms is no more. I am looking for the RND Manufacturing "Windrunner" handle. This mounts to the location where the original bipod was mounted.

That handle first showed up on the Cheytac rifles if I remember correctly. EDM made the first run of them and that's why I put up Vigilance.

If anyone would have one or can make you one, Bills son could or he might be able to point you in the right direction.

That's where I would start, unless someone here has what you're looking for.

Thanks for suggesting it. I will not be persueing the Carry Handle at this time.

No, don't deal with the add-on. Changes harmonics since its all touching the barrel.
Bill was always having to remove that system to restore accuracy.

That's good info on the carrying handle, wonder how many people have them and will be removing it. At least you found out about it before you bought one.

Is there any other option for the Windrunner rifles, kinda like Barrett's design?

Another option that Bill made on request was an extended bipod lug. Some guys found that if it was extended out to almost the end of the barrel, it made the rifle really stable.

That's something that Vigilance or any other machinist could make for you.

I had RND made a handguard and bipod for my Windrunner a couple years back. The handguard is free floating and the bipod clamps around the handguard.

I will probably just leave it as is.
