Saw a flier from Palmetto State Armory showing a MP40 22LR - Looks identical to the GSG MP40 rifle sold a few years back.
Are these affiliated with GSG or ATI? The name was Blue Line Solutions "Mauser" ???
Did Mauser line itself up with GSG or did GSG get bought out or more importer changes?
Just curious.

Ok, so settle in cause it's story time.
American Tactical, Inc. (formerly American Tactical Imports) is the exclusive importer of GSG Branded items in the United States. Blue Line Solutions is the exclusive importer of GSG Branded products in Canada.
Before GSG created the original GSG-5, GSG had a license agreement with Sig Sauer Germany to produce the original Sig Mosquito, the 22 version of the P226. This gun was branded under the Sig name and GSG exported them direct from their factory to Sig USA in NH. After creating the GSG-5, GSG wanted to have a gun with their own name on it to develop their brand. The owner of what would become ATI saw the GSG-5 at GSG's booth at IWA back in 2006, struck up the relationship and actually created American Tactical Imports specifically to bring the GSG-5 to market in the US. GSG had been making airsoft guns and the mosquitos prior to this. It was about that time too that GSG struck up their relationship with Blue Line for Canada, although the GSG-5/522 had a very crazy time with Canada's import process, a different story for a different time.
Several years later, we worked with GSG to develop the GSG 1911 (2009). Once it was ready, to help cover the development expense, GSG also licensed it to Sig. The Sig 1911-22 is the GSG 1911 just with Sig branding. So, ATI had the GSG 1911 with GSG Brand, Sig had it with Sig branding in the US and then of course Blue Line got it with GSG branding in Canada.
Skip ahead some years. 2014. 22 market tanks because of ammo shortages. ATI & GSG had many expenses dealing with some legal stuff with some other people. Higher priced 22s weren't moving well at all. We had just relocated to SC. Multiple factors ended up leading to ATI choosing to discontinue certain GSG products to focus available to buy dollars on the products that turned well. So, we stopped importing the GSG-AK47, the GSG-STG44 and the GSG-MP40 in 22 to focus on the meat and potatoes of that time, namely the 522s, 1911s and the up and coming MP40 in 9mm.
Then, 2 things happened. Thing 1 was that the majority share of GSG was sold to the L&O group, who also own Sig, Mauser, Blaser, Diana Airguns and several other brands. Obviously, bringing in a new ownership group also brings in changes. Thing number 2 was that due to a whole situation (just google it) Sig Germany was no longer permitted to export guns to the USA. So, Sig USA had to discontinue the Mosquito and the 1911-22. After some back and forth and R&D to improve some features, GSG was able to rebrand the mosquito as the FireFly (a name actually picked by yours truly and our former purchasing manager because we're both big fans of the brown coats
). As this was now a GSG Brand item, we got it for the US and Blue Line got it for Canada.
So, as the years progressed, the 522 went away, the GSG-16 was approved, and ATI continued to roll with the 16s, 1911s, FireFly's and MP40 9mm, but as those were our primary focus, we still opted to not bring back the AKs, STGs and MP40-22s for our own business reasons. But, Blue Line in Canada was still bringing in those approved models to Canada, so there was still smaller production capacity for those by GSG.
Still here?
As L&O continued to remake and grow GSG, one of their big pushes they wanted to do was the Diana brand of airguns. Blue Line picked them up for Canada distribution, but ATI did not as airguns is a totally different world (one we have not so successfully dabbled in with Nova Vista) and by this time our focus was in growing our own domestic production and there's only so much money to spread around. (BTW, we build our ARs and other stuff 24/7 here in SC and have grown to over 160 employees since 20 of us moved here in 2014!) So, Blue Line Solutions set up shop (slowly) in WA, and created their US branch Blue Line USA. This was initially done to give US distribution support to Diana, but also to act as a house for L&Os other brands to give them a start off point.
As Blue Line was still importing the 22s we discontinued into Canada, ATI agreed that if L&O used one of their other brands for the GSGs we no longer imported, that we were fine with it. Therefore, GSG Brand is imported and distributed exclusively by ATI in the US, and the Mauser Brand is distributed by Blue Line USA. All the guns come from GSG's facility. Blue Line also got to have the 1911s under the Mauser name too, kind of the same situation as when Sig had the 1911.
So, that's a really round about story but kind of gives you the perspective of how layered all this stuff is. I didn't even go into the ISSC part with the MK22s haha.
Anyway, if its in the US and branded GSG, then we're your guys still.
If its in Canada and branded GSG, then Blue Line are your guys.
If its in the US and branded Mauser, then Blue Line are your guys.
All of it is GSG and GSG compatible.
The end.
