That was super interesting, thanks for posting....especially the article on Sam Cummings and Interarms...fascinating, what a time to be alive and an arms dealer, what an amazing life it must have been, would love to have been able to do that!

I am sure that scene in "Uncommon Valor" when they opened the crate of surplus weapons they bought had some basis in fact.

That's one of my favorite nerd blogs on the internet.
However... in the section on Iran he repeatedly uses the name "Gavin" in reference to M113s, and when he gets called on it in the comments he defends the use. The stuff on the Afghan Royal Army (pre-73) is fascinating. The organization looked well disciplined at the time. |
