I tagged this topic a while back but can’t find it.  I just got a Can-am Commander and want to install IR driving lights and/or spots for varmint/hog hunting. Any ideas?

@UNV
@TNVC

Pretty sure both offer options and both are solid companies to deal with.

I have the Ultimate Night Vison 2" cubes on my RZR.

They were easy to install. When we drive into the woods and forests they make a big difference. On a pretty well lit night they are hard to tell if they are on. However these are just the cubes, they have bigger light bars.

I have been using the Rigids since before they came out with them, and they are still going strong. Lots of other good choices. IME, you do not need a lot of IR light, like you might with white light.

Any preference to using the pair of cubes or the small light bar?

I am really happy with UNV IR lights and I’ve owned both Larson and Rigid lights in addition to these.
UNV are the best value in my opinion.

And now the follow on question- mounting options?  I'm thinking either on the bumper area or on the roll cage.  The supplied brackets don't seem like the be all end all.  Any recommendations?

Try to mount them so once turned on they are reflecting off the least amount of stuff as possible.

Also, use a nice, lighted switch so you know when they are on and you don’t accidentally leave them on killing your battery and blinding people.

Here is what two cubes look like mounted up high on the roll cage.

And here is two cubes mounted in the bumper.

I think higher is better, and I’m close to completing near 360* UNV IR lights on my F250.
