I have one on my helmet and love it! And you can have a white light with the flip of a switch. Highly recommend it.

I have one on mine and it works great. Having both white and IR in one cuts down on another light being on my helmet or need to be carried elsewhere. The IR isnt going to do too much outdoors past a few dozen yards, but inside a dark structure its a godsend.

I use one and they're great especially for the ability to switch rapidly from white to IR

The only application I have found for any Inforce has been a white/IR helmet light. Its pretty decent for that application.

I have one on a rifle, plan on making it helmet mounted once I get a good throw IR light. Really want that Torch III TNVC

It's not what you asked but I have a Gen 1 WMLx white/IR on my rifle. It floods to 50 yards pretty well but that's the practical limit. I chose it for the white/IR combo, the cost and low weight. I could see where it would be better suited as a helmet light.
