I sold my K models... I prefer the larger MP5, and I like the ballistics out of a longer barrel. |

We’re in the same boat.
Full size is an overall better shooting gun. No tuning required for suppressed shooting etc. The k the cool factor lies in its size. No where near as soft as the full size. Much less it’s a headache swapping locking pieces out checking headspace etc just to shoot with a can. |

I like shooting the fullsize as a range toy.
Its footprint is similar to a krink AK, which it falls short in ballistics to. For an actual use case weapon, in a real role, the K always wins. Its a PDW, and it is the size/shape of a pdw. Its 9mm. Smaller is better. Too big and actual rifle calibers start to eat your lunch. |

I have both and like both but prefer the K. I have KES stock, HK broom grip and Holosun507c with an Omega 9k. That package is an inch shorter than my MP5 with A3F.
I'm considering buying an AP5P for a backup K. |

I prefer the K. Higher rof with a pack, and the forward grip takes care of muzzle rise.

When I was looking to buy a MP5 clone I debated the full sized vs k models. Since it would be a range toy I went with a AP5P and SBR’d it. Now I’m kind of wanting a FS so I can see what all the hype is. Being able to shoot unsuppressed without needing to replace the locking piece is a good thing with the FS.

Thats a tough question. I like the K and I like the full size which is why I have both. I worry less about blowing my fingers off with the full size though.
Maybe I'll just grab a 51 and worry about how much I'm pissing off the people shooting next to me instead. |

The full size is a compromise. The subgun or "PCC" is a compromise entirely, short or long, with the advant of the short 300blk setups. Why grab a K when you can just use a Rattler that has better ballistics with 300blk supers and is close to the same size? ETA: I prefer my full size SP5 over the K model myself. |

I started out 36 years ago with a ‘Wild’ Bill Fleming built MP5 S.A. (HK94)
 ...even shot prairie dogs in MT with it  …but now I like the K better

That combined with wanting a pistol (my Uzi is annoying to take out of state as it is) so no K grip put me into the full size camp if I could only have one. |

If you SBR the K and use the B&T folder with a foregrip, it makes a huge difference.
I like it better than a full size with the same options |

If you're comparing semi-auto only, then the comparison between the full size and the k is aesthetics and comfort. But if you're firing FA, then the ROF is a factor as well and the k is higher.
Some folks like high ROF (mini-uzi or mac) weapons and some prefer firearms with a more civilized ROF like the full size. |

The standard size is a handy-dandy (reasonably compact), easily-aimable (great sights; LOP), soft-shooting (RDB; non-dumb bolt speed), small PCC.
The K reminds me of the new crop of asinine tiny CZ Scorpion and Sig MPX guns. Instagram toys that suck to actually shoulder. |

Maybe I am lucky but I only use one liking piece for both suppressed and not suppressed on my k model, I prefer it over the full size but I’ll say I do have a thing for the mp5sd.
I shoot a ptr and it runs like a champ, paired it with a qd rugged obsidian 9 For cqb in my opinion the k is king |
