Damn these are handy little carbines. This one is numbers matching, and I bought it from an owner that has had it for 40 years. I am quite pleased. I need to shoot it now...

I found the recoil anti-climatic. I was expecting worse and it doesn't seem to be any harder than any other centerfire carbine length rifle. An older gentleman at the range also told me as I was setting up that I wouldn't be able to hit the broadside of a barn with it. I asked him if he ever had one and he said no. Groups were about 3" with my handloads which used 4064 and pulled surplus Paki bullets. No load development, just the same charge I use for my 180 grain hunting bullets, threw them together and took them out to shoot.  I've not experienced the "wandering zero" with mine either. The thing is about the perfect iron sighted truck gun.

I only shoot mine in the dead of winter....so I can have a thick jacket on
