Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Hydro dipping?

I have a hydro dipping kit with dark green camo film. I’m wanting to do a magpul SGA stock and an aridus 1301 hand guard so they match with my 1301 OD factory finish  a little better.

How hard is this process?

Any tips or tricks?

Does it come with a base coat?

Comes with base coat, applicator spray and matte clear coat spray.

Base coat looks black does it still need to be applied to the black furniture?

Yes, the dip media will stick better to the base coat than the original surface. Also be sure to prep the items by scuffing and using a primer before the base coat.
