@User55656
Did you do something like this?

What tools are you using?
Have you tried any heat or oil?
How are you holding the barrel?

Had a Turk and some Izzy barrels that were like that. Put them in the lathe and cut the barrel shoulder, not the receiver, and they came right out after that.

6” bench vise and a 24” harbor freight pipe wrench
I have a butane torch I guess I could try
I just put some liquid wrench all over it

Can you illustrate that for me? I’m not understanding

Maybe try some Kroil on the barrel/receiver joint? Or put it receiver down in a coffee can full of automatic transmission fluid for a couple days, let it soak, then try a little heat if it won't unscrew. I don't have a lathe either.

Cut away the green part, that’s the torque shoulder on the barrel. Just cut it away and don’t hit the receiver. Use a parting tool and get a touch off on the receiver face, then come over about .005 and go in until you get to thread diameter, and I bet it comes right off.

Also keep the speed down, it’s not high rpm friendly with that receiver hanging on there...

Are you using a proper action wrench?

If not you run a high risk of twisting your receiver.

Barrel vise and an action wrench, or pay someone with those two to separate them.

Damnit

Do you have any old contacts in the Springs?
I’d prefer not to ship this

CO Arms repair or Hickmans would be your best bet.  Other option is buy the tools.  Wheeler makes a barrel vice and action wrench that will work.  Rosin from the sporting goods store, piece of an aluminum beverage can for a receiver shim.

http://www.hpgunsmithing.com/services/ might be worth a shout too.

Surplus barrels are usually cranked on pretty tight.  Relief cuts are fairly common to minimize the risk of twisting the action.

Yup just like an enfield, remove the pressure off the shoulder then pop it off. I have a HUGE barrel vice mounted to a steel table bolted to the floor. I then use an action wrench with 3 foot cheater pipe. I can pretty much remove anythign with that setup.

By using the correct tools. Not bubba gunsmithing.
Use a bench vice and expect problems.

Following w/ interest.  Have a restamped Turk, was able to unscrew by hand and I'm not a very strong guy.  Must've got the Friday action.

I actually found one of the barrels I cut in the garage the other day moving the mill in. I’ll get a picture tomorrow

Sorry, Brad. You spelled my username incorrectly in the @.
I have a homemade action wrench. Since I didn't care about the barrel, I put a big pipe wrench on it.
Can't remember if I used heat, but I'd definitely give it a bit.

Propane torch on the action, dry ice on the bbl?

On The last one I did, I clamped the barrel in the pipe jaws on a 6" vise bolted to a couple hundred pound welding table, then used my action wrench and unscrewed the receiver from the barrel.

Are the turks a large ring receiver?

Turks are weird... large ring receiver on the outside, small ring on the inside...

Turk place

Chuck the action up in a lathe, then take a parting tool to within 1/16" of the receiver, then cut into the barrel about an 1/8".  That will relive the pressure on the shoulder.  Should break loose then.
