Someone in the states has a considerable amount. When I was at Barrett, a guy called and wanted an M82A1 scaled up enough to fire the 12.7 ammo. He said he had a 20' shipping container of it.
Ronnie thought about it, but decided it wasn't worth the time and R&D to do it.
A 50rd and 100rd Beta style mag for the A1 was considered also around that time frame, but was also nixed.
We also made an underwing A1 that was mounted parallel to the wing, slung underneath a Cessna high wing aircraft. It was solenoid fired and fired tracer rounds. The rifle was mounted upside down. It was for drug lab hunting. An aircraft would circle a suspected drug lab and fire a tracer round into the area of a suspected drug lab to be used as a spotter for people on the ground to use to get them close.
We built a couple of them for the DEA to use in S. America.
