Always seat bullets not designed for 300 blk and weigh 180 grs or less by the .250 ogive rule.

The reason I ask is, I picked up a couple Magpul 300 mags the other day just for grins and there is a difference in the mag bump. |

Just picked up 1K Hornady 125 gr fmj bullets for both of my Blackouts - loading to the top of the cannelure has been 100% reliable in both the pistol and rifle so far with COAL = 2.105". Running Lancer mags only as they work great with all my other BO loads - subs and supers.
So glad I reload right now - prices have gone insane for 300 BO cannon fodder.............. Not so Cheaper Than Dirt 300 BO Bird |

I use 125gr Sierra Match Kings. My very first few loads had ogive/oal issues. Then I bought a Sheridan cartridge gauge. This is also when I learned about cam-over. .300AAC was the first rifle cartridge I ever reloaded. It damaged me and now I reload all of them.
I rarely go by the cannelure for seating depth. |
