Looking at getting some 4400's and just had a quick question.

Im thinking 4401 shooters cut for front and the 4400 SAPI for rear plate.

does that work? should I stick with one style for front and back?

most likely getting a large ferro slickster, if that helps.

going to be my first setup so any feedback / recommendations are very welcome.

Get both same,  in case you need to switch them.

well that leads to my next question which is - which should I get?  Shooter or SAPI?

Best I can tell is SAPI is larger and covers more area? the shooter cut is significantly cheaper for whatever reason ($140 vs $220)

The main reason why the 4400 is more expensive is due to it being multi-curve.

Depending on your build, you may need the shooters cut in order to shoulder a rifle properly without the plate interfering with the stock.

sounds like dual shooters cuts is the way to go then ey?

this will be my one and only plate carrier. most likely going in a ferro slickster.

actually ended up going with a Large Crye JPC 1.0 and RMA Level IV 1155's

that should do the trick! will post pics once I get it all and set it up.

plates should be here in 2-4 weeks but the JPC has a 12-16 week lead time
