Hey guys, if this isn't the right forum, I appologize.

I picked up what we all thought was some random commercial sporterized 1903 at a pawn shop I work at for $150. I took it deer hunting, and while bored in the stand, I started looking up the serial and info... and holy cow... I was slaying deer with a real deal 1903a4 sniper.

So it appears to be all original, aside from the sporter stock, but I'm not expert.

It has a Lyman Alaskan scope, Remington manufactured, Barrel marked 8-43, serial 34178xx

I'd like to find a correct, or as correct as possible stock for this. I'm assuming I'm looking for a C Stock, and possibly with the FJA Cartouche. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You'll want either a full-pistol-gripped "C" stock or a semi-pistol-gripped "Scant" stock.  (Scant Stocks were the most common stocks used on M1903A4s.)

However, it will need to be one that is specifically inlet for the lower M1903A4 bolt handle.  You can't just toss it into any old C or Scant stock, without modification to that area.

See "Type 14", "Type 15", and "Type 16" in the below images for examples of the C Stocks and Scant Stocks used on M1903A4s:

you can either just get a aftermarket C stock and cut bolt notch.

Look for a nos scant or C  a4 stock either loose or on a 03a3.  Tons where sold postwar as surplus. People bought them to replace straight stocks.

Or the most expensive way finding a real take off a4 stock good luck on that !

You scored with that rifle and restoring is the right thing to do.

First I need to get this off my chest.  I hate you!

Now that i got that out.   True 03A4 stocks are out there, they pop up on ebay every once in awhile.  Expect to pay $500-900 for an original 03A4 stock.  You also need to know what you are looking for because I have seen several fake 03A4 stocks lately on ebay.  Some people can do a good job of making the stock relief look original.

A couple options would be to get a Minelli C stock from Brownells or Stocky's stocks or a NOS scant stock and have someone cut out the bolt relief to simulate the original and keep your eye out for an original.

Or you could always go onto the CMP forum and ask if anyone has an original 03A4 stock for sale.
