So, I have an older CZ 75 made in 1985. The poly coat went to crap so Im trying to strip it down to Cerakote it. I can't for the life of me get the extractor pin out. Here's what Ive tried:

-Beat the shit out of it with a hammer and a pin punch

-Soaked it in Kroil for 2 weeks

- heated it up with a MAPP torch and then tried to hammer it out

- beating it some more, I have broke/bent multiple pin punches. Yes I tried from the top and the bottom

-I watched some videos and it looks like it should come out easily.

-I've checked out CZ forums and no insight there.

Oh Yeah, I tried using a Arbor press to press it out... No luck.

I'm out of Ideas. any help would be appreciated.

My only other option it to leave it in, tape it off with High temp. tape and spray it in two stages. 1 stage for the extractor and a second for the slide. This however will be my first time using Cerekote.

I would leave it and let it be the same color if it is that stuck. I have found these help me with hard ones to move: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H407C1O/

With a decent arbor press it should have come out.

Sounds like it may have been installed with large interference fit or locking compound.

A map torch is overkill.
The high temp will overheat the surface before bring the deep etal up to temp.

A 400 F oven for a few hours would be better.

I was pretty gentle with the torch.

I'm leaning on drilling it out, very carefully. I did some more research and the CZ 75 pre-B (what mine is) has the same pin spring and extractor. all the parts are available.
