At night???

This could be a first! So it finally came together last night at my buddy's place. I am sure his wife is thankful since they have two small dogs and two girls ages 3 and 5.

@TNVC_Sam

Nice, does he have any videos of his hunts at night with a shotgun, I have not seen any on his YouTube Channel.

Thank you.

So I remixed the footage this time taking some frame shots to see how much lead was used.

Also, the wad/shot cup can be seen in the thermal scope.

Nice

Was it a PITA to zero the thermal?

Not bad at all.

I just use a Hot Hands heating pad, just move the POA to the center of the pattern.

I guess for a shotgun the zero distance is pretty close, forgot about that haha

I popped my first one with a shotgun back in high school. Mossberg 500 with a clamp on surefire g2x combat light with a whopping 100 lumens.

Hit him at about 80 yards and still can believe I did it.

Is the night vision rated for The Recoil of a shotgun? Nice video though

From my understanding the Thermal scope is rated for a 375 H&H Magnum.

a lot of folks don't realize how bad a shotgun is. I grew up deer hunting with dogs and just about everyone that hunted with us used a shotgun. My parents favorite was the rem. model 1100 3" mag full choke with Winchester superX #1 buck shot. My mom killed a deer at 110 steps. A lot of people think a shotgun is only good for about 30-40 yards but the ones we used would reach out there pretty far.

I have a 3x Python gen 3 night scope that I've thought about mounting on a shotgun for night time hogs n coyotes but its been pretty deadly on an AR and I don't have to worry about getting a black eye because of recoil with the AR

No, but I've turned a raccoon into a cloud of red mist with one.

I finally started testing the Tungsten Super Shot is size T.

Pretty devastating if you think about a .20 caliber 18 gr. pellet that is made of tungsten!
