Behind the belt buckle works for me. I just flash the buckle after the beep and I'm through.

If you can’t hide on person or leave in car then potted plants out front work also. Also landscaping gravel you can easily stash underneath.

Yes, love it! The design is well thought out and executed. Non magnetic and strong!

Wear a belt with a large, metal buckle.  Slip the knife inside your jeans waistband, behind the buckle.  They will wand you, pick up the knife/buckle and then lift your shirt and point at the buckle.  The security will not have time or likely the training, to look further.  Walk in and enjoy the venue.

I've HEARD that one could clip it inside your pants right behind your METAL belt buckle...

Every venue should have lockers to check the stuff you're not allowed to bring in.  Even make it a revenue source.  Swipe your credit/debit card,  the thing locks up tight.  Swipe it again to unlock it and you get charged 2 bucks for the day.

Easy money and a nice convenience for the guests.

Take additional precautions to keep them being used for illicit purposes.  That's for security to figure out.

Last time that happened to me, they asked me to put my metal stuff like keys in my right hand and put my hands up, so I palmed my knife under my keys, got wanded and walked in.

^^^^this^^^^ works; last concert i went to (downtown Austin), got to the doors & had the same routine;
put my 4" folder between my palm & cell phone, raised my arm, got wanded & walked in.

I had to do that once.

I bought this to cope.  Not ideal, but it will not set off a metal detector, and that little blade is pretty stiff and strong.
You have to be careful of plastic knives - many of them have metal dust mixed in so they will set them off.

Ka-Bar Tactical Spork - under $10.  Better than being completely disarmed, IMHO.

Last year I had to walk half a mile back to my vehicle at the fair to drop off my knife. They were wanding and the lady said my knife was too big. The year before they didn't wand so I wasn't expecting it. Sucks having NOTHING around such a crowd.

I've gotten by with sticking a knife in my socks as long as it isn't a full walk thru scanner.  If they are wanding I've never had them go that low.

This got me chuckling. I had the same experience as you. What makes it stranger was that it happened maybe 100 yards from OP’s experience at the Tivoli. Mine was at the Hamilton County Courthouse. I ran out front to the bushes to the side of the door. I mentioned it to security on my way out and the deputy said that he saw several people a day running to those bushes and that he knew exactly why. This was right after they had installed a full blown metal detector and x-ray unannounced, made you feel like you were at the airport!

Went to a Nuggets game the other day and as we were walking in I realized that I had my Kershaw Launch in my pocket and they had metal detectors. But they were making people take their coats off and having you pass them by outside of the metal detector. How stupid is that?

So i just put my knife in my coat pocket and passed it right by. They were doing the same with purses but checking them. Not checking coats at all. Could have easily had a gun in there. Pretty dumb... Seriously just “security threater” But glad I didn’t have to walk a mile to put my knife in the truck.

Wife and I took the kids to see a Disney on ice at the arena in Wichita today, stuck my Microtech Ultratech D/E into my shoe and walked right through their metal detectors just fine.  I don’t think the detection part goes all the way down to floor level so it doesn’t see it.  A buddy I was with wasn’t prepared and had to walk 2 blocks back to the car

I did have a funny experience at Epcot in Orlando several years ago.  I had my standard 3 blade pocket knife that I've carried for probably 30 years in my pocket.  Went thru security and they told us to empty our pockets.  I dropped whatever was in my pockets and the knife in the tray and they about had a cow that I was carrying a knife.  They told me I couldn't bring it in, yada, yada, yada...  It would have taken and hour or more to go back to the room to dump it so I asked if there was anywhere on the property to store it (didn't think about walking away and sticking it in my shoe and going to a different line).  They told me yes they had a place I could check it in and a kid in uniform had to escort me there (naturally on the other side of Epcot).  While we were walking across the venue we walked under a tree and a bird crapped all over the guys uniform.  It ran down the front of his shirt and he had to stop and get some paper towels to clean it off.

I decided the Karma birds were waiting on him for treating me like a common criminal.

I don't think he scanned down that far.

Those Garret wands will pick up the rebar in the concrete under your feet, most people using them know this and don't bother going too close to the ground.

A year or two after 9-11 we visited NYC and going through security to the Statue of Liberity I tossed my Swiss Army knife into the tray: Supervisor at the end picks it up, looks at me and the agent, asks "yours?" I said yep! "Let him through"  These days I tell 'em up front I've got metal body parts and a Lithium powered device that keeps my Heart going and they just give me the once over.

I had to put my endura in top of a car wheel outside of a strip club one time.

Enjoyed the tits and pussy but worried about my knife all night.

My buddies were shocked it was still there when we left.

Fucking hello's angels strip clubs have tighter security than the airport.

Chaperone for an NJROTC trip to the Sears tower several years ago, no cutty things signs and metal detectors. myself and several cadets have our EDC pocket knifes. we gathered them up and put them in the fold down diaper changing station in the men's room. cus we were pretty sure nobody was going to use it. did the tour thing. recovered EDC upon return to the ground floor.

Clip it inside your waistband just behind your belt buckle.

Works 100% of the time about 75% of the time.
