Does anyone have experience with the Harbor Freight 1”x30” belt sander and the angle guide sold on Amazon? Think this might be a decent setup for handling my array of pocket knives and Wusthof kitchen blades.

I would take a stab at that for $85, would have all sorts of potential uses with the proper belts.  Just go don't apply to much pressure and keep the blade moving to avoid burn.  As another option is the paper wheels for a grinder that would show promise as well.

I just wanted to thank you for posting the Angle Guide link--I found 400-1000 grit belts on the 'frequently purchased' stuff at the bottom.  I've been looking for them FOREVER,..don't know why I didn't think to check Amazon in the first place

Good deal. I’m going to get the HF sander this weekend and order some different belts as well.
