Thanks, I just struggled sorting out the ball, spring, retainer and buffer that fits in the action rod of my 1187. It has over 35k rounds through it without a problem. Then the cocking handle flew off so I had to find the correct fix.

Anyway, now is a bad time to get parts. Everything is out of stock, and Remington is closed. I managed to get parts in all sorts of odd places. On line at several vendors, and also hitting a local gun shop. I have enough parts to redo two more action bars (I have 2, 12 ga 1187s).  

It was hard to do since there are no Uchoob videos covering something this detailed. Live and learn. Now I can look at your sources. Thanks again.

Remington factory parts

Connected to the current owners of Remington / RemArms. Best to search using the Remington part # (like F123456 if you can find it from old schematics.

Remington is still in business........They stopped producing the model seven and 11-87, but they are still making the 1100...that said I would try them..........
