My wife unit sent me this picture of a percussion shotgun she inherited.  I was wondering if anyone could identify it based on the ipotato pic she sent.

Appears to have:

A Tower musket type barrel with a nipple braised onto it

A "Birmingham" type commercial lock

Some sort of late musket/early rifle type stock, cut down.

It seems to be in "NRA Crap" condition and is possibly an early "Bubba" job.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! [img]

Will do.  Problem is, just about anyone who knows the history of this gun is probably dead.  She found it in her mom's closet following her death, her dad passed some time ago, and her two brothers who may have known the history have passed as well.  I wish the gun could talk!
