2x2 photograph from the last year (with full name & last 4 of SSN on the back) or newer taped to the form (on the sides). No hats/glasses/etc. Try to take it with a white/neutral background and no shadow.
In reality... they'll take almost anything. All my passport photos legitimately look like mob booking photos (perfect for a factory SBR Thompson). |

So I can take a drivers license looking selfie and attach it there? |

Fingerprint card order page I don't believe that you can print out the cards themselves. Good luck on your stamp collection! |

I just got approved with nothing more then walking around the house till I had the best (least amount of shadowing) and clicked and uploaded. No hats or big sweatshirts on

Selfie taken against a light colored background worked fine for a few form 1s. Ordered the print cards from them and printed myself. I would get the cards first since you only have 10 days to get your prints to them once submitted

Don’t overthink the photo. It’s not a passport photo. It’s a passport style photo...simply meaning a shoulders-up pic. There’s no requirement for a blank background. No requirement for it to be on photo paper. No requirement for it to even be in color.
For eForms, just take a selfie. Use the square option on your phone/tablet...or don’t. No need to resize. Just upload it. They don’t print it on any form. For a paper form, I print mine directly onto the form. I do use color, but it’s not required (just as ADCO). To prove they don’t need a blank background, here’s the pic from an approved Form 4 (this is similar to every pic my dealer submits):
