Can you use a cell phone battery pack as an external battery for the FLIR PTS233? I know the FLIR uses 5v as the input voltage and the cell phone battery packs are the same. So will this work?

Yes, it certainly will work. I've only used actual batteries on mine for about 15 minutes. The rest of the time it's been in use, ive had it hooked to a little Anker battery pack. Provides a ton of runtime, is cheap, rechargeable... all around great option.

How much for the battery pack? Can it be mounted on the rail instead of the unit?

It will be $89.00 and yes as I pictured above, it can be mounted on any pic rail. It will also be included free with every purchase from either TNVC or Night Goggles and that includes any PTS system such as the PTS 536, 736, Breach etc. Thank you.

Definitely the way to go! Mine is kind of a jury rigged version of this and it works fine, but i'll be upgrading to the TNVC version at some point. Much nicer package.

Not with the current cable we have utilized. The Armasight uses 8-Pin connectors which we will also be utilizing in the next phase as soon as we get the PTS line released. Pulsar units will also be getting ramped up with our new cradle system.

FINAL TRB's are now complete on our TNVC web site for ordering under "New Products". (Thank you for the patience as we finalized the design).

I 'm really impressed on how the final version of the cradle turned out.

The cradle will fit nicely on any picatinny rail. The TRB's will be included included FREE with every TNVC/Night Goggles purchase of FLIR's PTS series of thermals. PTS233, 536, 736 and the PTQ136 (Breach)***
