No rec in Houston but I would find someone that uses a fiber laser. Then drop some paint into the engraving.

I’ve used Testor’s model paint, Alumablack, and Norrells molycoat. Use a toothpick to fill in just the engraving.
Don’t overthink it. |

Tar heel state firearms is the best engraver I've used.

His website is not the best, but it gives you the idea. he also has multiple laser setups and it will project what the cut will look like before it actually cuts, so you can make adjustments if you want. he is up off 99 around the 249 area.

I’d engrave the barrel instead and not worry about paint.

I thought the lower had to be engraved since that was the "firearm" with the serial number. edit; just realized this was an SP5, so i guess there is not a lower per say, but shouldn't the receiver be engraved anyhow and not the barrel? |

Barrel is perfectly legal for all required markings other than the serial number. |

Weapongenetics is in Tomball and he runs a pretty badass laser. Does a ton of business engraving and cerakoting. Highly recommend him.
