I've always thought the best system that us lowly citizens could get (since the microsoft lens system is restricted) would be a pair of binos with articulation with a thermal mounted between and below the tubes, something small and light like an MH25.  It could even be on a sliding system like a G24 where it could be slid forward to clear the nose if necessary.  When you wanted to use it you would simply rotate it up into view on your non-dominant side.  Can it be done?  Would be sick.  Sounds like a good candidate for a kickstarter.

Why wouldn't you just run a coti, ecoti or
jerry-c?

Also there is like no space between the tubes. Usually when you see some space between the tubes it is sitting on a table or in a picture articulated out slightly. Look at someone wearing BNVDs, no gap basically. Maybe if they had some freakishly large IPD.

you'd be hanging a minimum of 1/2 lb on your binos, with a flir breach, which is pretty light.
