An ACOG with 7.62 reticle wouldn’t be “wrong”, but the Elcan is more “right” to me on the 17.

Either/or. They’re both well at home on the 17. I went the 11 personally, but my Tavor 7 has an Elcan and honestly it has to do as much with matching the color of the optic (tanodized to tanodized and ODG to dark FDE) as anything objective
 . But while the 1.5/6 Elcan may be ‘correct’ for the SCAR, you really want the 1/4.

Ended up getting a elcan off ebay. Trying to decide on a laser for my mrex rail extension now. Atipal, dbal, perst. I wish you could get a mawl that was inline. I used to have a Holosun on there but it deserves better haha.

I was going to post a similar thread.
I have narrowed it down to VCOG 1x8 and Elcan 1.5x6. Between those 2? The VCOG is about $300 less. Yea, $300 is $300, but I’m not worried about the price difference. |

The 1-8 VCOG has more magnification adjustment, but it also weighs like 26 pounds and one of the nicest things about the 17 is it’s light weight. I’ve always been lukewarm on the 1.5-6 Elcan but the 1-4 is pretty neato. If it went to true 1X it’d be great but the 1.5X low end is kinda meh. I’d go with neither and save a good chunk by going with better options personally.
