Oh I've followed it through 4 missed deadlines already. Thus my original post....

They stated in the thread I linked that the mag loaders were taking priority and that now those are done they are focusing on the MP5 mags. The current eta is late next month or May. We will have to see if they meet the deadline now that the mag loaders are not taking there focus.

And why would you buy this over the $30 POF mag from RTG?

It does have advantages in that you can see the rounds you have left and in that it gives you 922R parts.

Host is PTR 9CT, fit is very good!  No wobble at all, I am still playing with it and will report back soon.

My 30s and 40s fit nice and snug, no wobble, host is an MKE k clone.

Don't seem to have any issues on insertion.

Will report back if I can get to the range this weekend.

HK94 SBR with registered Fleming sear.

New magazines (30 round) out of packaging. Will not lock in on closed bolt.

With bolt open, the magazines lock in tight. Zero wobble. This is good.

I ran four magazines. Two with Magtech 115gr and two with Federal 147gr. (Truncated) Zero failures.
Fired 12-15 rounds on semi. Then did bursts. FA dump on what was left in mag.

Note: I took one magazine that I am going to use as the "test" and shot 120 rounds through it. Locks in on closed bolt now. Still, zero wobble. This is good.

I was pressed for time today. I will try them in some other hosts and report back.

With the HK94 host, this seems to be a cool product.

I got one 30 rounder to test out in my new PTR 9CT. The ETS mag wouldn’t stay seated, kicked out every time the bolt cycled. The mags PTR sent with the gun and 3 POF 30’s I bought all work perfectly. I’m hoping that it may just need to be broken in some as the fit new is very tight, really want to be able to get some of the 40’s and have them be reliable.

Got one 30 and one 40 round in today.  (My gun is zenith Z5p.)

The mags will not lock on a closed bolt.  The zenith mags lock on a closed bolt every single time.  With these, if I try for 30 seconds, maybe I'll get it to lock.  I guess gun magwarehouse won't accept it as a return since its opened.  I'll mess with them a bit, then probably just try to cut my losses on the equipment exchange.

I truly don't know if the mags are out of spec, or the zenith's are out of spec, but if you own a zenith, I'm going to list this mag as 'do not recommend'.  Or at least buy one to try before buying multiple mags.

I'm kind of an 'I like my roller locks original' kind of guy, so no clear mags for me, but, you never reload an MP5 on a closed bolt anyway...so does this matter?

It matters a bit for now.  I use it in competition at our range.  Some stages have a mandatory reload.  I load 20 rounds in the reload, and it seats just fine on a closed bolt with my zenith mags.  I'm planning to get an ACP9 and SBR it, so next year it won't be an issue, but it is an issue for now.

After reading various forums it seems these mags are not worth using beyond whatever pics you take with them in your firearm. If they were $10-15 I would be more understanding but at 40 frickin' dollars a peice there is no excuse. Early adopters are basically paying for the privilege to beta test these things.

I got a chance to shoot them today (30 and 40).

40 round I loaded in the gun, dropped the bolt.  It fired the first shot, then I got a FTF on shot two.

Dropped the magazine, cleared the malfunction, locked open bolt, put mag back in.  Shot one was fine, shot 2 was another FTF.  At that point I unloaded the whole magazine by hand and threw it in the range bag.

Then I shot the 30 round magazine.  Only shot 120 rounds through it, but 0 malfunctions, 0 issues.

Got a chance to shoot 30rd ETS mag in my zenith full size. 90 rounds total, no issues, they fit nice and tight. So far I'm happy with it, since they have lifetime warranty, will probably get more. Next week will shoot it in omega RS and report back.

I purchased five 40 round mags a couple of weeks ago and tried them out in a Zenith SBR at the range this past weekend. Four of the mags were perfect with no feeding issues. One mag sucked. The follower kept binding resulting in multiple failures to feed. Dropped the magazine and several rounds fell out of the mag before the follower unbound itself. Will be exchanging that one for a new mag.

I bought one and found it to fit tight, but it does lock in.  No other issues so far but I've barely used it.

I bought a 30 rounder from Aim and put a couple hundred rounds through it and it ran well. Just a little tight in a Zenith, but locks up solid and ran 100%.... I will buy more...
