Is it branded Ek?
Case was the original manufacturer.

Case is still making a very close reproduction of the original V-42.   It's a reproduction not a replica because Case was the original maker and they're RE-producing it.
It even has the hollow grind blade that takes a razor edge and the leather cover flaps on the back of the guard.
If you can't afford an original this is as close as you can get.

I had a H.G. Long V-42 but it had thin brass spacers between all the leather disks, and the sheath was different.
It appeared to be a very high quality knife.
